Yes, the IB did help me get into university! However, I’m not sure it was necessarily more beneficial than enrolling in AP or A Level. The IB is great if you want to apply to US colleges because these universities are looking for whole-roundedness which the IB six subject groups provide. For UK universities, this is less important because they focus more on the grades required for your intended degree. This doesn’t mean you’re at a disadvantage, as you’ll cover most subjects to a similar depth – it depends on whether you want to continue having a broad range of subjects or whether you’d rather focus on subjects related to your degree.
